★ Georgia Tech Athletic Association Unity Patch


One of the most impactful projects I executed as an intern for the Georgia Tech Athletic Association was the design of the Unity Patch. Initially worn on football helmets and later adopted across all Georgia Tech sports uniforms through the 2020 season, the patch was a student-athlete-driven initiative. Athletes collaborated to decide the words and messaging they wanted represented, ultimately choosing “Together We Change. One Fight. One Voice.” Amid a time of political division, the patch was a clear statement of solidarity and unity from the Georgia Tech Athletic Association and its athletes. As a student-athlete myself at the time, designing this logo was especially meaningful, as I understood firsthand the influence it would have. The patch aligned with Georgia Tech’s main athletic slogan, “404: The Culture,” reflecting the significance of the Institute’s presence in Atlanta, one of the most culturally diverse cities in the South.
